Alien Arcana, the fourth novel in my epic Starship’s Mage series, is now out!
An alien ruin
A murdered archeologist
An ancient secret—and a conspiracy that will kill to keep it!
When a scientist is murdered after finding signs of alien magic in an archeological dig, Mage Damien Montgomery, Hand of the Mage-King of Mars, is sent to investigate both the murder and the alien runes.
His investigation is interrupted when a mysterious ship attacks the ruins with weapons only available to the Martian Navy. Despite saving the dig site, Montgomery is left with more questions than answers.
His investigations reveal questions about the origin of his magic and his nation—and lead him back to the one place that should be safe: the court of the Mage-King of Mars.

I just saw your blog post the day you post. Granted it is the end of the day, but when look it up at Amazon I already see 14 reviews (4.7 rating). I can’t believe all those people got to read it already. 🙂
I got it and will be reading it this weekend.
Thanks for continuing the series.

Glynn,
Great stuff! Like I said in twitter, I couldn’t put it down! Finished it in one sitting!
There was only one thing I was disappointed in regards Damien and Grace. In Voice of Mars it seemed as if there was something seriously going to happen between them, and it was pretty much a non-issue in Alien Arcana except a brief mention in the end. What’s up with them?
Glynn Stewart says
‘Something happened’ and then they regretfully went back to their jobs on opposite sides of human space.
Michael Smith says
Ah, bummer. I had hopes for them.

I have been trying to get a epub edition of your book starship mage omnibus edition, but have not had much luck. Could you please recomend a reluable source?
Glynn Stewart says
Due to the terms of my agreement with Amazon, none of my books are available on other sites.
I’ll note that my books are released DRM free, so you should be able to purchase the Amazon version and convert it with a program like Calibre to load onto whichever device you are using.

Why arent you at your post?

I like the series and read the first three. The fourth is available only in paperback. Is it going to be available on the kindle?
By the way, I have been reading the Avalon series, too. I do like your work.

Amazon takes times (and usually poking) to link the Kindle and Paperback versions but both are available.
The link in the blog post should take you to the kindle book in your local market, and the Amazon.com link is:

Stuff of legends….this series and the Castle books are thoroughly entertaining. Keep the ink flowing.
Hayden says
Will you be doing any sequels for City in the Sky?
Glynn Stewart says
I get this question a lot and the answer, sadly, is no.
The people who have read City in the Sky seem to love it – as I said, I get this question a lot – but they are a relatively small group. I would be more likely to launch a new, better targeted-to-market, fantasy sequence at this point than to return to that universe.
(I suppose if it were to sell enough in aggregate over time I may reconsider that, but its roughly five thousand units short of the minimum level I would need to consider a sequel)
Hayden says
Fair enough! I started reading your CF series a while ago and just recently bought the rest of your books to read, out of all of them I’d say SM is probably my favourite but City in the Sky was a refreshing high fantasy experience as well. I can understand that it isn’t getting many sales though- it’s a very saturated market, and it’s a shame because it really is a nice book. Thankyou for the swift reply!

If only amazon did a better job letting your followers know! I just found it and read it today. I’ll be adding a review shortly! Damien, as always, was awesome. Though this circumstance seems to come with a bit harsher realities than all but his original tale. I look forward to his continued growth and what will come in book 5!
