The world of Aether Spheres is one of epic magic, fantasy races with new twists, and fantastic ships that sail the open skies and the magical currents between the spheres. Nine Sailed Star, Book 1 in this new series, represents a new evolution of the genre fusion Glynn became known for with Starship’s Mage.
Cat Greentrees, Brushfire Hammerhead and Armand Bluestaves are unlikely allies as they band together on a voyage that will determine the fate of all their people.
Back in June of 2022, we launched a Kickstarter for this book. Thanks to our backers, the Kickstarter was successful, and for the first time, one of Glynn’s books has been printed as a backer-exclusive illustrated hardcover. Now that our backers have their ebooks and their hardcovers are on the way, it’s available on Amazon as an ebook and a standard paperback.
Here’s more about the book:
A captain, exiled for disobeying orders in the heat of a battle against dragons
A shaman, desperate to keep her clan of sailors out of servitude
An archmage who has foreseen the destruction of all worlds
The elvar, with their long lifespans and rigid traditions, condemned Cat Greentrees for fleeing an unwinnable battle to bring news of a new threat. Cat plans to wait out his exile by drinking himself into a stupor, but the words of prophecy dog his heels.
When one of the powerful and revered archmages—a short-lived halvar named Armand Bluestaves—receives a similar prophecy, Cat will need to decide whether to throw away what’s left of his reputation to wage a reckless campaign into the void.
In the void, there are no currents to propel ships. There is only hungry darkness and the ghosts of destroyed worlds. If they want to save all free var of the Spheres, they’ll need to leave everything they know behind.
But first, they need a ship…and a crew.

Hi Srj,
Void Spheres has been written but putting together a new Kickstarter has been requiring more time than we’ve had available. We’re still hoping to get it out this year!
Thanks for your patience.
