Glynn Stewart’s far-future transhumanist epic is coming to Kobo, iTunes, and other retailers. This means that all the ebooks for the complete six-book series are available for purchase. This also means that this series is no longer part of the Kindle Unlimited program. You can still buy the book on Amazon, but you won’t have access to it as part of your subscription.
This is a strategic decision for us as a publisher. Being part of Kindle Unlimited means granting Amazon an exclusivity clause, and we want to be able to market our books outside the Amazon store. It’s largely thanks to them that we’ve been able to come this far, but like many authors and publishers, we’re leery about putting all our eggs in one basket, and being entirely dependent on Amazon’s policies. We also really want to be able to reach out to our Canadian fans who use Kobo, mostly because that’s where we live and we’re excited to find other Canadian sci-fi fans.
If you loved the Space Carrier Avalon books and already have an account at iTunes or Kobo, please consider leaving a review.
A couple of FAQ:
Will the books continue to be DRM free?
Yes, all of our ebooks are DRM-free across all platforms.
Will you make other series available on Kobo and iTunes / will you remove any other series from Kindle Unlimited?
Exile (and its prequel novella, Ashen Stars) will definitely be available on all retailers! For everyone who wants to get caught up on the other series like Starship’s Mage and the Duchy of Terra, our current plans are to keep all the other series in Kindle Unlimited for now.
Can I read an excerpt before I buy?
Yes, you can read the excerpt here, or download it from your favourite retailer.
The Castle Federation series is a far-future transhumanist space opera where the Terran Commonwealth, driven by their vision of Unification, are determined to bring all of human space under the rule of Earth.
They were stymied thirty years before by the forces of the Alliance of Free Stars, a multi-national force led by the Castle Federation and the Coraline Imperium.
Now, after three decades of cold war, the Commonwealth is moving again…
The series focuses on the development of Kyle Roberts from a relatively low-ranking Commander, Air Group, to the architect of the operation that turns the tide of the war and the choices and sacrifices he and his comrades make along the way.

Great stuff, have not read a book of yours that I did not enjoy. I just finished the new Duchy of Terra book and see that Bound by Honour and Arcana Stars will be released this month and next, which is great but will there be further Castle Federation books?
Not sure where you find time to sleep!
Kate Larking says
At this point, there are no further Castle Federation sequels planned but that doesn’t prohibit other stories taking place in the same universe from finding their way into Glynn’s writing schedule.

That would be a damn shame! Justnwent through all of them (I believe that they were the final remaining Glynn books in my queue), and like all the rest, I went searching for more. Seems like a crowned Caesar of Earth, along with an incompletely negotiated treaty, would leave opportunity forngreater conflict. Hope we see that story line at some point.
